Otis review: cloth, cut and how it wears

Otis · The Classic Chinos

Nov 2, 2026·

Most of a wardrobe is repetition: the same shapes, the same tones. The Otis in light blue is a good repeat — stretch chino, simple, and easy to replace.

Fit

The fit is clean rather than tight: space to move, enough shape to look deliberate. The waistband sits where it should and does not ride up.

Care

Air it between wears and it needs washing far less often. Spot-clean marks with a damp cloth before they set.

How to wear it

With a navy knit and leather shoes it reads smart; with a sweatshirt and canvas trainers it reads weekend. Both are correct.

Fabric

Nothing about the cloth is technical or coated. It is stretch chino, finished plainly, and it will look better after a dozen washes than on day one.

Worth knowing

Colours within the range are dyed to sit together, which makes combining two pieces from the same fabric straightforward.

Not exciting, not trying to be. Useful is the better compliment anyway.
