Lakes, wear-tested: what actually holds up

Lakes · The Knit Pullover

Oct 31, 2026·

A top does not need to be complicated to be useful. The Lakes proves it — merino wool, dark green, and a cut that stays out of the way.

Fabric

The fabric is merino wool with a slight texture. Under daylight it reads dark green; indoors it goes a shade deeper, which is typical of good dyeing.

How to wear it

Pair it simply. A knit polo and suede shoes is enough. Avoid a second pattern — the Lakes looks best when everything else is calm.

Fit

The cut is regular. Room through the thigh, a straight fall, relaxed without looking oversized. Between sizes, take the smaller one.

Care

Wash with similar tones for the first few cycles. merino wool can release a little dye; after that it settles.

Worth knowing

Colours within the range are dyed to sit together, which makes combining two pieces from the same fabric straightforward.

Simple, well made, easy to live with. That is the whole argument.
